August will be a very peculiar month.
Mercury will be retrograding, and when this master of communication gets into this motion, we here on Earth feel like everything is going backwards instead of going forward. The events don’t unfold with the same accuracy and speed. We tend to be more forgetful and confused, feeling like no matter how much effort we make to reach our goals or have our tasks done, we hardly succeed. Astrologers agree that this is not a good or positive vibration to launch a new project or to sign a contract under.
The order at this time is to use the ‘RE’ as much as possible in your daily activities, such as Re-think, RE-do, RE-search, RE-make, Re-confirm, RE-view and so on… and wait to launch projects or initiate new ventures when Mercury is back in it’s direct motion.
Mercury starts retrograding on August 2nd and is back direct on August 28th. I like to allow 7 days before and 7 after the period to make sure the energy is distant and faded in order to start new projects, sign important contracts and make major life decisions.
For the first 6 days of August, Mercury will retrograde in your sector of career, reputation and status. You may feel like no matter your efforts, things seem to be stopped or stagnated. The best approach is not making any important moves during these days. After the 8th, Mercury will still be retrograding for everyone, but not in such important fields for you.
Then Mercury moves to Virgo in your area of friends and life projects. This is a good time to go visit friends you haven’t seen for long time or to try to find friends on a social network site.
Parallel to this planetary event, the planet Mars, which is responsible for the energy that moves us to initiate, to get started, to take action and to reach out for our goals is connecting with many planets, some connections good and some bad, raising a rush like energy to get things done, to start something up and to even be aggressive if we have to, in order to get the job done. People tend to act impetuously under Mars vibration.
Well, well, well…This combination feels to me like turning the engine of your car on and trying to drive with the emergency handbrake pulled.
So we are going to have a lot of noise and much blah, blah, blah; arguments, debates, but no solution, no deals will be made and if so, further down the line they will have to be reworked.
This is not a positive aspect for the negotiation of the US debt, and it’s not positive for the market and the financial crises we are undergoing.

The president should rush with this decision or this negotiation will get aggravated if they procrastinate until August 2nd or later.
Mars in Cancer turns his aggression and rushed energy to the matters of housing, family and emotions, raising the sensibility, making us act rashly and mindlessly when mad but it also brings about the mood to fix our homes and make it cozier and warmer. Mars enters Cancer on August 3rd, and remains in this sign until September 18th.
Mars is the planet of sex as well, so take advantage of this high libido vibration and enjoy every moment next to someone you love in a cozy, homey surrounding.
Mars will be imposing its fiery energy in the area of travel, international matters and the higher mind. Use this time to learn something that could make a big difference for you. You are eager to learn a new language or to travel, but unless it is an unavoidable trip, wait to take off until after September 7th.
Venus will be transiting the magnificent Leo most of the month of August, indicating that the best way to protect our money during this time of uncertainty is turning your investments into GOLD, solid gold. Venus has being awesome for your career. If you work with beauty, the arts, fashion, music, dance or social enterprise, you will definitely experience one of your best performances of the year. Everything you do will charm everybody including your boss.
Neptune retrograding is back to Aquarius on August 4th. This is your last chance to learn the value of fraternity. This is a good time to research your family and ancestral roots, to frame your dreams in a more suitable way. The more you know your roots the better you know yourself on an emotional level.
The full moon on August 13th, at 20º Aquarius, can be translated into brotherhood and solidarity. This full moon will represent a moment of professional joy and success. The 17th, 18 and 19th will be such a great time for love. You feel in a hurry to find the man or the woman of your dreams and you will! Either on a trip or in your own backyard.

The new Moon on August 28th is at 5º Virgo and it is aligned with Pluto. Both the Sun and the moon will receive good vibrations from Pluto and during this new moon, Mercury goes direct, so we may see the light at the end of the tunnel, and some solutions will take place.
I like this new moon in Virgo because it has the power to inspire us to reorganize our lives in every detail helping us to recreate new rules and make a great evolution based on lessons learned.
Despite their conflicting points of view, Republicans and Democrats may agree just to solve the problems that hurt their mutual interests.
It doesn’t matter if you are a democrat or a republican, you will have a great time during this new moon. Your ruler planet, Pluto is in a great aspect to the Sun and Moon, making this an excellent time to get rid of what is not for you anymore and find a new path in your life. It could be through a new love, a new career or a job, or maybe through a substantial personal improvement.
Jupiter enters a period of retrograding as well, from August 30th to December 25th. This is not a time to expect for growth on the material plane; the action of Jupiter is reversed so the emphasis is upon inner awareness and inner growth.
It is a good time to take spiritual or philosophical courses with the objective of gaining a better perspective on life.
Jupiter is in your area of relationships, in all of them, of business, romance, agreements and if it’s the case for you, in your area of clients as well. You may not see much improvement in relationships during this time, but you can reevaluate their meaning for you. Most Scorpios must be living the best moment of your lives, because Jupiter is expanding and blessing all your relationships. If you don’t have one, Jupiter will bring someone special to you, if you have one and it’s been in crisis, Jupiter can heal it; and if you are in heaven with your companion, Jupiter will make both of you more successful and improve your lives.
